  • Biography

Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Gauche moved to England to study history at Oxford, and after finishing his degree - soon realized that his true passion lay in graphics and art. Going back to school to study at St Martins - he moved through animation and design, soon doing work on music promos for the likes of DJ Vadim, other motion work and a gradual shift towards more illustration work.

Gauche has taken part in a number of shows - including one at Elms Lesters and D&AD New Blood in 2006. His work has also appeared in Gristle magazine, Creative Review and other editorial publications.

Influences are far reaching and varied - including comic artists such as Wally Wood and Lee Elias, Chester Gould, Chris Ware, Daniel Clowes, Charles Burns, Sam Hiti , James Jean and artists such as Rego, Balthus, Alfonse Mucha, Carravagio, Piranesi, Goya, Canaletto... the list goes on and so does his quality work!
